II: Poetry by John Sweet & Photography by Kris.K.G, 1
the short version
gun is the key to the future but
the child is dead
father is missing,
has a boyfriend who knows
what she likes and he smiles at
the sound of her pain
asks what the
kid’s name was
says it’s a fucking shame
John Sweet sends greetings from his bunker in the rural wastelands of upstate New York. He is a firm believer in writing as catharsis, and in the need to continuously search for an unattainable and constantly evolving absolute truth. His latest collections are A NATION OF ASSHOLES W/ GUNS (Scars Publications, 2015) and APPROXIMATE WILDERNESS (Flutter Press, 2016).
