IV: Poetry by James Diaz & Photography by Natalia Drepina

The Muse of our Time

Home Is Where The Ambulance Is

Once inside
I’m bitten
too many sources

on the side of my face
that is still dreaming

I hate burn marks
roller skates

I feel
it’s all so fatal

I love it when
wind declares jihad
against my skin.

James Diaz resides in upstate NY, spending his time writing poetry as if his life depends on it, because it does. His forms of survival can be read online at Cheap Pop Lit, Chronogram, Ditch, My Favorite Bullet, and The Voices Project.
